Dubai World Trade Centre
23 – 26 November 2015
pba S.p.A. Pavillion 6 Stand 6C257
pba exhibits at The Big 5, the largest construction exhibition in the Middle East. In Dubai, between November 23rd and 26th thousands of innovative and certified products and the latest technologies in the field of construction will be displayed by 3000 exhibitors worldwide. A unique occasion to create new network opportunities thanks to the presence of over 80,000 professionals among which manufacturers, developers, designers and architects.
pba will show in its space the complete range of hardware lines including SLIDE, the latest pull-handle in AISI 316L stainless steel with a hidden lock. The pull handle is designed with a sliding cover of stainless steel which hides the cylinder when not in use. The manually operated cover enables easy access. In closed position, the cover protects the cylinder and gives the pull a discrete look. With SLIDE the act of opening is refreshed, and further confirms pba’s quality.
The Programma 200F integrates an ekey arte biometric fingerprint reader into a stainless steel AISI 316L pull confirming pba’s policy that focuses on innovation and technological research to design architectural hardware and accessories for barrier free environments. Ekey arte is a biometric system which allows access by fingerprint scan. This solution, combined with pba’s hardware design, grants high security in both private and working environments.
The handle LIM (Less Is More, labor LIMe), born from the collaboration of pba, FRANKLIN AZZI DESIGN and designer Dimitri Sautier, reinterprets the industrial levers aesthetic codes, in particular the emergency check valve through a formal simplification of the form dear to the architect Franklin Azzi. The geometry of LIM thus makes it become an object of common use, a tool that seems the hand’s extension. The outcome is an elementary shape, with sharp aesthetic, where the architect keeps only the “strictly necessary”.
And PLUS born from the collaboration between pba and studio ecdm – Emmanuel Combarel Dominique Marrec – to demonstrate and revamp the awareness of a human habit that runs the risk of being dismissed: to grip, to hold in one’s hand, to grab appropriately.
